Before you submit documents for certified translation
- | The rules regarding the execution of certified translations are regulated by the Regulation of the Minister of Justice of November 25, 2004.
- | Certified translations are documents, therefore no changes may be made to them.
- | The calculation sheet for certified translations contains 1125 characters (letters, numbers, punctuation marks, and spaces). Each started page of the translation is counted as a full page of translation.
- | For an additional fee, when executing a certified translation, a copy can be prepared that will function as an original.
- | Before submitting diplomas (certificates) of completion from Polish schools, or Polish academic degrees awarded, they must be legalized for international circulation. Legalization of diplomas (certificates) from primary, middle, and high schools is carried out by the relevant education authorities (for Warsaw: al. Jerozolimskie 32, tel. 826 64 91) - except for medical schools, whose diplomas are legalized by the Ministry of Health (ul. Miodowa 15, 00-952 Warsaw, tel. (22) 634 96 00).
- | Diplomas from higher education institutions are legalized by the Ministry of National Education, medical diplomas by the Ministry of Health, diplomas from higher art schools by the Ministry of Culture (ul. Krakowskie PrzedmieĊcie 15/17, 00-071 Warsaw, tel. +48 (22) 421-01-00 fax: +48 (22) 826-91-48). Doctoral titles are legalized by the Polish Academy of Sciences (tel. (22) 656 64 34, 620 33 54, fax: (22) 624 85 93).
- | Most countries require the legalization of a certified translation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Warsaw, ul. Tyniecka 15/17, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.), and then by the diplomatic representation of the respective country.
- | Personal identification documents are not translated. If you need to document your place of residence, you should provide a registration certificate obtained from the appropriate registration office.
- | If you need a translation of your own statements prepared in a foreign language, the statement should be written in Polish, signed in the presence of a notary, and then provided for certified translation along with the notarial clause.
- | All agreements must be signed before being submitted for certified translation by at least one of the parties. Otherwise, the translations will be done as regular text, not as a document. Translations of unilaterally signed agreements constitute a document on which no further annotations can be made (for example, signing by the other party).
- | Certified translations lose their document status also after making changes in the original document (including the one that was translated).
- | If you need a certified translation, you must bring us the original document. At the latest on the day of picking up the translation. Otherwise, there will be a note in the translation text stating that the translation was made based on a copy.
- | Before starting the translation, it is worth familiarizing yourself with our price list and current promotions.
- | It is also worthwhile to familiarize yourself with the contents of the agreement that you sign with us at the time of ordering the translation.
- | We can also authenticate translations made by the client.
